OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

ZZ TOP CANCELS EUROPEAN TOUR

RCA recording artists, ZZ TOP announced today that they will
cancel their European summer tour due to a medical condition
with bassist Dusty Hill.

Dusty was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, and thanks to early
detection the outlook is extremely optimistic. With new and
advanced drugs and extended rest, Dusty can look forward to
a complete recovery.

ZZ TOP was completing their 30th Anniversary world tour,
having already played over 100 dates throughout North
America, Australia and New Zealand.

Their corresponding album “XXX” continues to receive critical
acclaim both here and abroad.

The European tour would have targeted the third and final leg
of what has been one of the most successful arena tours of
the millennium concert season.

“ I want to extend my deepest apologies to the ZZ TOP fans,”
proclaimed Dusty Hill through a spokesman. “The prognosis is
very good and with the help of physicians and family, I hope to
see you soon.”

Originally set to begin in early June, some 35 concerts in 17
countries are officially canceled. ZZ TOP looks forward to
reinstating the tour at a later date.
