Yes, that was the Worldwide Texas Tour in 1976. I attended a show during that tour at the Capitol Center in Largo MD.
There were indeed a bison, a longhorn steer, a buzzard and an enclosure of creepy crawlies on the stage. At the show I attended, the cattle came up from below on platforms that rose up at each end of the stage. It was the most awesome thing I'd seen a band do with stage props. Ironically, today the set is minimalist by comparison, but it works because nothing else has changed over the years, except that the Boys cool factor as well as awesome music have become more seasoned and fine-tuned.
Moral: Don't try to fix what's not broke.
