I get an email saying my membership is expired.....i hit the link that says .renew here ....nowhere to renew ! Anyone else have this issue ? or am I the only stupid one ?

I guess membership is free now? And signing up here is all you do. I used to belong to one that cost $40 a year (and you got a t-shirt). I didnt renew and then when I decided to check out the site again a few years later, I ended up here.
