RE: Hummbucking, Part 2
What does mean "Hummbucking" word? Never meat it anywhere
A humbucker is a type of electric guitar pick-up invented in the face of the single coil electric guitar pick-up that 'hummed', or, in other words, made an unwanted sound, especially when a guitar's single coil pick-up volume was elevated. They HUMMED. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Thus, a humbucker literaly bucks (anti) hum.
Billy's Pearly Gates 1959 Gibson Les Paul is equipped with 'humbucker' electric guitar pick-ups. (as are many, many other electric guitars) -
RE: Hummbucking, Part 2
Spot on Stuart, Pretty much any guitar pickup, which looks like 2 joint together is a Humbucker. The others are single coils. Some Gibsons have covers over them, but they're still humbuckers.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to embarrass you. Don't worry about it anyway. I have been using English my whole life and I don't understand the language either! -
Re: Hummbucking, Part 2
Darn, I was really hoping the song meant something else, cause it would have been more fun that way....I don't see the motivation to celebrate what is actually an archaic invention so much...."definitely somethin everybody WUSH for" lol... really?
